damn  good deal on an 06^  i used to look on craigslist like every day.  there is a dealer by me that would give me an 09 for $1,500 Smiley 3 miles on it.  still not sure if i am going to wait for the 2011's to come out.  reasons i am waiting are because its supposed to have disc brakes, Fuel injection for better cold starts and some cool new colors Smiley

over all the bone stock ruckus or not its still a bad a$$ moped
but im slightly disappointed that they are pretty slow in stock form
the new ruckus are supposed to be fuel injected w/ disc brake... it seem like ^ d garage has been wanting one so bad lately
the ruckus is so worth it in the long run i drive the whole season until it snow

this is my other beater the metro
its stretch 7" w/ a ruckus swapped
rear 10x6 atv rim w/ stretch oem ruck tire
ruck front rim
shortened lower front shock to it max
rear hardtail suspension
its sit pretty low its about 2 1/2" off the lowest point of the ground and i even want to go even lower

the recent work on my red ruckus
will be the new boom a range style handle bar
w/ miracle "X" style footbrace add w/ rear foot brake setup
been also been searching for a proper air ride system
in the mean while i integrated all my harness wire into ruckus frame
im shaving down the whole frame
and still not gonna painted until i make up my mine
and to do list
single side seat brace
single side rear wheel conversion
custom exhaust which is position the muffler in front of the engine vs side

and the wish list or figure how to list
the rear rim setup 13x10 -10 offset rear rim setup.. on ssr mk II/work equip 3/dori dori mesh/cherry blossom

yeah i really wish they would release some details on the 2011 ruckus.  I was hoping the 2010 would have fuel injection and a front disc brake.  maybe they will add it for 2011.  i probably won't be able to hold out til the 2011 ones come out.  so i'll probably end up getting an 09 and if the 2011 adds fuel injection and disc brake i'll just sell the 09 and pick up a 2011.  yeah the ruckus is pretty slow stock but its still fun.  after all its a scooter not a sport bike.  skunk that metro is pretty sweet looking.  I drove a metro and it was too small for me.  felt really awkward to ride.  your red ruckus is looking pretty good.  i like the x brace.  not a big fan of the handle bars but its still cool... as far as the rear rim setup that would be pretty bad ass.

its still lays frame and sadly that office chair held all of last year riding

thanks for the compliment d garage
there alot more work that needs to be done still.   i also forgot to mention about im adding a front belly pan too
as far as the metro you might want to consider riding mine..
alot of the custom part that im making are meant to be a one off design vs  the typical every average joe has on the ruck

for sure^ i've been looking at parts and other peoples builds threads for like 2-3 years now hahaha.  I'm sure thats what a lot of people do when starting projects cars etc...  I might stop by my local dealer and see what kind of deal they could get me on a pair of ruckus'.   There arent any decent used ones for sale right now.  And since it's winter i might be able to get a pretty damn good deal from the dealer.

yeah last time i went to the dealer they said they would sell me a brand new one for $1,500 if i got two.  one for me and one for my gf.  but that wasnt the OTD price.  most of the used ones i see are pretty damn beat up. and i mean for like 500$ more for a brand new one it would be worth it.

check out this random ridiculous vid of a fat dude riding a ruckus with a small turbine engine

I believe one of those motors costs $5k with electric start.  they are really small and not that powerful.  would definately get a lot of peoples attention though.  So I might go to my local dealer after work tomorrow and see what kind of deal they could get me on a new ruck
